Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration TSM&O I-695, I-70 and US 29

Rossi Group provided transportation planning concept development services to the Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) to evaluate a potential new project.

The new project assesses corridor improvements such as the Transportation Systems Management & Operations (TSM&O) implementation strategies within the existing right-of-way of a 16-mile-long commuter route in Howard County, extending I-70 from MD 32, east to US 29, and south to MD 100 east terminating at I-95.

Our activities included project scoping, preparation of a Needs Study, development of a purpose and need statement, development and evaluation of alternatives, and selection of the recommended alternative.
